Winds cause tree to fall on Anniston house

A crew with Model City Erection Company removes a fallen tree from the roof of a house at the corner of Leighton Avenue and C-Street in Anniston on Friday afternoon. The tree caused moderate damage to the roof on the back side of the house. Next door neighbors said strong winds from a storm last week knocked the tree over. The neighbors said the home was unoccupied when the tree fell, adding that the homeowner only uses it when family comes to visit. -- By staff writer Patrick McCreless.
